Daily puzzles for your Wordle routine

Free one-a-day puzzles from Gamefinity: the same set for everyone each day, one go, and a result you can share.

Part of Wordle's appeal is the routine: one puzzle, the same for everyone, done in a few minutes and then compared with friends. The daily games below keep that routine. None of them is a word game, so they sit beside your Wordle rather than replacing it, and each one starts a new day at midnight Eastern Time.

What these daily games share with Wordle

  • One set a day, the same for everyone. Every player gets identical puzzles, which is what makes comparing results fun.
  • One go. Dig Site, Exactly and Fold give you a single attempt at the day, and the Daily IQ test is one go as well.
  • A result to share. Each one ends with a short share line you can paste into a chat.
  • A few minutes. Each is over in about two minutes, so the set fits into a coffee break.
  • How the day went. Each shows how today's other players did on the same puzzles.

Closest to Wordle: a clue after every try

Of these dailies, Dig Site plays most like Wordle: a hidden target, a fixed number of tries and an honest clue after each one that rules part of the board out.

Daily deduction hunt

Dig Site

Six digs per site to find an artefact in a 12×12 grid. The colour of the soil in each trench tells you the distance to the find, and a shard marks a shared row, column or diagonal. Read two or three clues together and only one square is left.

Numbers, shapes and reasoning

These three swap the hidden word for a different kind of thinking, but keep the shared daily set and the single go.

Daily numbers puzzle

Exactly

Three number sums a day, from easy to hard: combine six cards with the four signs to hit each target exactly. Every sum is checked to have an answer, and a near miss still earns marks.

Daily paper-folding puzzle

Fold

Five sheets of origami paper a day, each to be folded into the shape on its card within par. Every shape is proven foldable in exactly that many folds, and no sheet comes back for at least four months.

Daily IQ

Ten IQ-style puzzles a day, from number series to mirror images, untimed, though a quick right answer earns more than a slow one. No puzzle of the daily test returns within a year.

Questions

When do these daily puzzles reset?

All four start a new day at midnight Eastern Time, the same moment for every player. Until then, today's set stays the same for everyone.

Can I replay an earlier day?

It depends on the game. Daily IQ keeps past days playable from its archive and has a Timed mode for practice. Dig Site, Exactly and Fold give you one go at each day, and Dig Site and Exactly have no practice round, so a day's result is always a first try.

Are any of these daily games word games?

No. They use a dig grid, numbers, paper and reasoning puzzles, which makes them a change of pace from Wordle rather than more of the same. For words, try Wordlock and the other games on the unlimited page.
